What causes free radicals?

Vitamin C is also very important and can be found in citrus fruits like oranges and limes, and vegetables such as green peppers, broccoli, green leafy vegetables, strawberries, raw cabbage and tomatoes. Wheat germ, nuts, seeds, whole grains, green leafy vegetables, vegetable oil, and fish-liver oil are a great source for vitamin E. Selenium can also be a great antioxidant but must be taken in measured amounts. A large dosage of Selenium can be toxic. You can find this element in such foods as fish, shellfish, red meat, grains, eggs, sunflower seeds, chicken, garlic, and Brazil nuts.
